It's like flower photography, only I really like it, which makes it completely unlike flower photography. Some of the art in this can be credited to whoever made the plate, but you placed your camera in the right spot and made it into an altogether different type of art. This lucky plate gets to be art twice!
And you know, it's silly, but I like that frame. I didn't even notice it was there at first - perfect.
Of course the moment I click away I think of something else. See that broken up ring around the center of the swirl? It reminds me very strongly of a sundog. I saw one in Canada once - fantastic. They form around the sun. Here's an idea, if you haven't heard of them: [link]
They tend to form at northern altitudes because the refraction of sunlight through ice crystals creates the extra image(s) of the sun itself.
This is the only reason I know some of the weird things I know. I see a pretty picture, go "Ooh!" and look it up, and it's articles and explanations from there.
Needless to say, others subsequently suffer through definitions and analyses much more exhaustive (and exhausting!) than this. It's part of my character. XD
The sun dog idea is an interesting interpretation, and it's inspired me to change the title of this photo. Naturally, thanks go to you. Also, you're not the first one to compare it to flowers.
Oh, and since I work with biology, I don't mind definitions and analyses. An affinity for them is a prerequisite of sorts.
Oh, geez, for a second I thought "Parhelion" was the original title, and I felt rather embarrassed. In any case, I'm glad you found it that interesting!
Also interesting is I'm majoring in biomedical engineering.
A collection of some of the finest photo-manipulations deviantART has to offer. The unique and creative pieces found in "Inspirational Photo-manipulations" can assist an aspiring manipulator in finding inspiration and starting their own photo-manipulations. Hopefully you as an art appreciator you will enjoy this selection of awesome works.
`karemelancholia is one of the most genuine deviants you could ever met. Always active and a true deviantART cheerleader and supporter in every aspect. You can always count on her to lend a hand or get involved, and you usually will find her doing large amounts of both at any given moment. She's consistently reports on contests around dA, showcases the efforts of her fellow artists and shows her charitable side through various activities. Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More

Or something like that.
